The Rooster Who When to His Uncle's Birthday Party

“The Rooster Who Went to His Uncle’s Birthday Party” is a play specifically written for children and the young at heart. The play has its plot taken from an old Cuban tale (retold by Alma Flor Ada) and written into a children’s play by Mdm Angie. We, the TESLians of the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Batu Lintang are proud to bring this play to life. Follow us on our journey with the Rooster to his Uncle’s birthday party. Join us for the play AND the party on 23 March 2013 at 9.00 a.m.; at the Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce Auditorium, IPG Kampus Batu Lintang, Kuching.

'Rooster, oh Rooster'

Okay, my mind is full of the Rooster things right now and i need some air, some spaces, some entertainments! Two days off from college and Rooster, hopefully it will make enough time for me to entertain myself and have some lovely time with people around!

I must have been mentioning the word 'Rooster' like thousand times recently. Actually, it is a drama for our LGA paper, a BIG production and part of the assignment requirement for the subject in this semester which will be performed around March and until then we will be busy with preparations. A challenge for us and i believe we are going to make it excellently well.

P. S. This is so funny that the boys in the class started to play around with the peace sign as i have, unconsciously, posted three consecutive pictures of me making the peace sign on FB. Anyway, it does brighten our day with smiles and laughters. Something to do with happiness, don't depend on others to be happy but be the source of happiness to others. Smiles and peace always!

Happy weekends!

Mixture of thoughts

Here comes the most packed week for us! Not with activities but tons of assignments. I wonder if teachers-to-be are the only humans who have the most assignments on earth. I am not here to complain. But just to leave a note that i might not be available for couple of days or a week maybe. Hopefully everything will be just alright, run smoothly without too much stress air along the way or stressed people. But don't worry, we are going to make this! Hwaiting to all my tesl siblings and mates.

Remember, i posted something about how we were being quite disrespect with some lecturers weeks ago. It happened again today. Yet, no one is to be blame. I can't read his heart, but his expression showed what he exactly felt. Please don't do it any more. Have some hearts. They deserve respects though they might not speak they way we understand or spoon-feed us with comprehensible inputs. I regard us all as young adults, who know to look for knowledge by ourselves not to solely depend on the lecturers itself. Even though we score high marks, own a beautiful face, have lots of money but without good hearts and attitudes, all are nothing at all.

At times, i can sense some 'unhappiness' air around. It makes me want to be home. Even though i am so used to be far away from home, but if i were asked the thing i  wanted the most right now, it will be home.

Most of the times, my thought is not burdened by the assignments or my study part but it is mostly on my life. As if something is unsure about the path even though i am doing well. As if something is missing. Dear God, give me strength to face whatever is it that lies ahead.

Updates

Sometimes, i feel that the time is flying so fast that i could not even realise that i was breathing ! oh no, it is going to be the 6th week of studying soon for this sem and i haven't really settle down everything. I know that i had been sleeping like a baby for days (night + day), eat & shop endlessly when there was nothing to do. And the worst part is that, i havent done anything for the assignments which mostly are to be submitted before this coming holidays in few weeks time again. See!

I will be back to Sabah in 5 weeks from now and have my SBE there again (see the dates that are highlighted in pink, that is my holidays!) This time i will be doing my SBE at Kiulu, at my uncle's school. Hopefully, i will have at least a companion there. But now,i really have to settle down everything. Need to start up with assignments and the given tasks. There will be a lot of research-doing in this sem. Our BIG is coming soon but it will be a charity work only. No more camping, no more rafting ! Basically, everything in sem is mostly the same as what we have had for the 1st sem, like having PBS, BIG, assignments, and portfolio of course ! and finally the examination. but something different is that i am a full time JPP ~ but don't worry, i have wholly accepted this responsibility in my heart.

For the activities part. After the holidays, we are going to have a kind of carnival (which reminds me of our book affair day) here which is one of the tesl's activities. Can't wait to see all the little children around. Next week, there will be a camp at St Lukas. It is Inter Campus Camp (ICC). I will be going for it, yaayy! another thing is that i am joining the IPG drama again. At first, i was given a character but i refused it cause i know that i am really 'suck' when it comes to acting part, seriously! so i will just join the dancers - KUDRAT TARI. This time, the drama will be at Miri which is after the raya holiday.

Hopefully, everything will be fine this sem.

And the things that i can't wait for this year is the celebration of the SYD cross which will be coming to our church at the end of the year! yeah, here comes the memory of SYD 2 again. may God bless the cross journey ! so now is the perfect time for me to settle down everything!

Baby Dumping Issue

Baby dumping is one of the worrying problems around the world today. The cases of baby dumping are increasing day by day, month by month and so on. Hence, it brings lots of worries to our society. The main cause of baby dumping is unwanted pregnancy. There are several factors that lead to unwanted pregnancy such as:

a) Social pressure or personal desire to have sex.
b) Absence of education about how to avoid getting pregnant.
c) Teens are reluctant to ask their partners to use a form of birth control or STD prevention.
d) Partners are drunk, on drugs, or otherwise not able to plan.
e) Many girls are also unwilling to say no to their partners, no matter how they personally feel about sex.
