SYD & BIG camps done ! Tomorrow will be another camping, which might be the last one for this semester. It is a UB camp, KRS and i am super duper excited for it ! can't wait for all the adventurous activities ! Out of everything, i really enjoy camping. I have always love camping since ages !

P.S. Have you ever dreamt of going for a date with someone ? I did and it was really really a great feeling!

MYD 2011

We are going to St Catherine Inanam church this evening to send over the SYD youth cross. It had been 2 weeks since the first day the cross stepped into Good Sherperd Church Menggatal. Hopefully everything will go well.

Personally, this cross bring significant meaning to myself. It does not only bring changes from the outside part of me, but also the inner side of me.

Physically, it helps to build another friendship circle in my life. It is still crystal clear in my mind how i greet the first youth from GSCM. She is florina. Until now, she has been a very good friend of mine. The best thing is that i get the chance to mingle out with the other youths and follow all their activities. Though, my house is a bit far from the church but i am so thankful that my family will always send to church. For going back transport, any of the youth will send me home. I know that it keeps on worrying my parents, especially my mother, for going home late at night, i feel guilty but always pray that God will wipe over their worry. I still remember that i ever reached my home around 2 am. I was so worried that time, luckily nothing bad happened.

Before this, there in no words like 'serving' or 'church youth' in my life dictionary until i met them all. Yes, now i know the feeling of being the servant of God, someone who serves not only for the church but also the community outside of the church. I really enjoyed all the activities in church; camp, carolling, choir, fellowship and many more. I am so thankful to have great company of friends there.

From the inner side of me, this youth cross brings something unspoken explanation. The this that i had experience is hard to be describe by words. I know that everyone has their own definition of this cross. For me, it is a remainder for myself. To nourish my faith, to be strong, to walk on God's path constantly. The things that make me grateful so much is that God always has His way to call me back to him. I believe that everyone has their own personal experience in this youth cross journey. Even if the answer is still 'no' or blur from your side, but you are getting there. For the ones who follow this cross journey for the first time, sooner or later you will understand the reason behind it.

All in all, everything started with the coming of the youth cross which was 4 years ago and i am thankful to God who had created those days.

ICC Camp 2011

I had been to ICC and it was great awakening! I enjoyed all the activities that we did there like group sharing, praise and worship, taize prayer, animation, creative report, movie watching, games and so on. there were 13 of us from IPBL who had participated this 3 days and 2 nights camp.

Through the camp, we were exposed to these four elements of gospel values ~ hope, faith, love and freedom. these sentimental values give great deal of impacts to our life. i learnt about freedom the most. everyone is free to lead what kind of life they want to live. even at the moment we started our day, we have to choose! we have the power to choose what kind of day we want to go through ~ happy, sad, motivated ~ everything is up to us. but still, we should always bear in our mind that there is a limit for everything. we should know how to draw the line between do's and don's in our life. though we are free to choose, still there is a boundary that we should not overlook. yeah, that is freedom!

Apart from that, sis Lisa (the program's coordinator) also told us that there are 'white wolf' and 'black wolf' in every man. so, it is up to us which wolf we would want to feed more. but remember that, don't over-feed the 'black wolf' or else it would 'overtake' you and i am sure that you guys know what's the consequences.

Overall, i really enjoy this camp. hopefully, i can join something like this again in the future. to my amazing friends - elsie, libe, jus, usun, cecil, lesley, dolo, allan, mathew, yanson, easther, erwin, thank you for making my days so much fun. not to forget the organizers team and participants of Inter Campus Camp 2011, you'll will be missed.

Updates

Sometimes, i feel that the time is flying so fast that i could not even realise that i was breathing ! oh no, it is going to be the 6th week of studying soon for this sem and i haven't really settle down everything. I know that i had been sleeping like a baby for days (night + day), eat & shop endlessly when there was nothing to do. And the worst part is that, i havent done anything for the assignments which mostly are to be submitted before this coming holidays in few weeks time again. See!

I will be back to Sabah in 5 weeks from now and have my SBE there again (see the dates that are highlighted in pink, that is my holidays!) This time i will be doing my SBE at Kiulu, at my uncle's school. Hopefully, i will have at least a companion there. But now,i really have to settle down everything. Need to start up with assignments and the given tasks. There will be a lot of research-doing in this sem. Our BIG is coming soon but it will be a charity work only. No more camping, no more rafting ! Basically, everything in sem is mostly the same as what we have had for the 1st sem, like having PBS, BIG, assignments, and portfolio of course ! and finally the examination. but something different is that i am a full time JPP ~ but don't worry, i have wholly accepted this responsibility in my heart.

For the activities part. After the holidays, we are going to have a kind of carnival (which reminds me of our book affair day) here which is one of the tesl's activities. Can't wait to see all the little children around. Next week, there will be a camp at St Lukas. It is Inter Campus Camp (ICC). I will be going for it, yaayy! another thing is that i am joining the IPG drama again. At first, i was given a character but i refused it cause i know that i am really 'suck' when it comes to acting part, seriously! so i will just join the dancers - KUDRAT TARI. This time, the drama will be at Miri which is after the raya holiday.

Hopefully, everything will be fine this sem. 

And the things that i can't wait for this year is the celebration of the SYD cross which will be coming to our church at the end of the year! yeah, here comes the memory of SYD 2 again. may God bless the cross journey ! so now is the perfect time for me to settle down everything!

BIG Story

I was having my BIG camp at Kem Alapong on 4-7 April and here is the story

FIRST DAY:

This is the camp site!

These were the camps where we slept. The space inside is enough for 6 to 7 people per camp. It was so sandy, hot, and uncomfortable sleeping there, but it teaches me one thing; be grateful that at least I have place to sleep. Cause some people out there don't even have place to stay!

Our kitchen tents; two groups shared one tent. though it was hard to put up the tent and gadgets, but it worth cause it was fun cooking there. The food was more than enough. the best thing about having this so-called-kitchen was that staying late at night and we can cook anything we want. 

At 4pm something, we had our water confident activity. Here, we were given chance to swim freely (but near the sea shore only) with life jacket on us. It was fun though the waves kept on pushing us to the shore!

This was my group mates with our flag. We were known as SEMANGAT - our group name. memang semangat ni! this picture was taken on the first night after the ice breaking session. the SEMANGAT members; anis, nizam, yassin, jiah, teng, faz, elsie, lydia, suzanna and me!

SECOND DAY: There were not so much activities that I joined cause I had my MUET speaking test on this day. So, at 8 am, some of my classmates and me went back to the institute to take the exam. We were only back at 4 pm and straight away joined the next activity which was the tongkat amanah. This activity was so challenging. We had to carried the bamboo (which symbolises the tongkat amanah) from one station to another station. Each station we had to go through the so-called-halangan which was arranged by the pihak penganjur and our lecturers. At the end, all of us was in brown colour with all the sand around our clothes.

At night, I became sentri (berjaga malam) from 12am to 2am. At first, I don't feel like sleeping, but then my eyes can't stand it anymore. Huhu. So, I slept like a baby ~ tired. But the sad thing about this day was because we (the MUET -ians) missed to join the rafting activity. So sad. I wish that we will be given another chance to go for rafting.

Third day:

This was one of the activies for today. It is called the music therapy whereby we danced freely according to the music genre. Like it!!

This was one of the tasks that we did during moral slot. The weird tulips were drawn by me!

This was our main activity on the 3rd day; Kembara. Though it was not that challenging still we enjoyed strolling around.

Lunch time! Everyone looked hungry. Serbu makanan!! 

We were only back to the camp site around 3pm. Then, my group did some practices for tonight event - Malam Kebudayaan. We were going to present a BORIA. After that, all of us were busy with cooking because that night also we had our Pertandingan Mesakan Ala Rimba.

FOURTH DAY: My wish was granted today. We got the chance to go for rafting. I guess, I was the happiest person in the world, the moment had came. Yaaayyy!! I really love it!!! But one thing for sure, we had to be extra careful during rafting. Anything can happen. Luckily, everything went well. I can't really explain my feeling during rafting, because you have to experience it to know. But overall, it was superb!

See, I was carrying the raft with some friends. 

This was the last activity. I was sharing on my rafting experience. 

Yeah, our group won two prizes for all the competitions which were 3rd place for Pertandingan Memasak and also Persembahan kumpulan. We were also given prize for Anugerah 1 Malaysia. Both our singers, faz and yassin won 1st and 3rd places respectively for the karaoke competition
