One of the most awaited events in our institute is the 'Sambutan Hari Gawai & Pesta Kaamatan', but this year we have changed the name of the event to 'Sambutan Ngiling Bidai & Penutupan Pesta Kaamatan'.
This name is chosen to celebrate the ending season of Gawai & Kaamatan fever for the Borneo Malaysian people. The climax moment of this event is the 'Kumang Gawai & Unduk Ngadau' Competition. This year, the competition will be different from the former years where usually the winner will be crowned as 'Kumang Gawai' / 'Unduk Ngadau' for the girls and 'Keling Gawai' for boys. We are not looking into that category of winners. Instead, we decide to open this competition for all the beautiful ladies of who study in IPBL and surprisingly, we do have an Indian girls as one of the contestants whom is my own classmat. The sole winner will be crowned as MISS BORNEO IPBL (which is the first time ever!) Hopefully, this event will go smoothly as being plan. The date will be on 20th of July 2011, 830 pm at TAZA. I guess, all IPBL-ians are excited to know who will be the 1st MISS BORNEO IPBL!
