Hello 2021!

Two years passed just in a blink of eye.

2019, not in the mood of writing since I was really in a dire state to move out of my comfort zone but it was a failure. It is okay.

2020 must have been the loneliness teaching year of all teachers. When we are used to the noises and buzzing around with teaching, but for everyone safety, we have no choice but to work in our small virtual cubicle. We may not say it out loud, but we felt the tremor deep down inside too.

2021, hoping for nothing but for everyone to stay safe and sane. And for me to move out from that comfort zone.

Farewell 2018

2018 gonna ends soon and this year the transition is so fast. so many things happen in between but despite of everything I am glad that I am ticking down more than half of my milestones in 2018. Yes, I do have that set of goals every year.

Attended some courses outside of my district and state.
Presented paper in international conferences.
Roamed down the unfamiliar streets alone.
Went for trips with friends and love.
Ran 21km with new PB and trailed 30km.
Climbed and conquered Mount Kinabalu.
Almost to achieving my targeted weight goal, hmm.
and so many more in between.

Finally, I am so glad that it is all over; after four years battling up and down with my kids, they did it; the best and most remarkable achievement so far! I am so happy for that. Lastly, I travelled to one of the countries in my dream list!

Thinking and finalising few milestones next year. But seriously, it is time for me to relax next year. Focussing and enriching more on myself. No one knows what will happen next year but I have faith that God is working things miraculously in His best timing!

The Wind of Change

It is time for a change. I decided that I will not stay too long in this comfortable and not so productive environment. I need some changes, some air out of my comfort zone. I need that new routines. It is time to wrap things up this year. I should not let the wind pass but I will follow it.

Hello 2018!

Entering February soon and it is one of my favourite months in a year!

January has been great. My best achievement so far was that I completed reading 2 novels in these past few weeks. One of the novels left me with a knock because I didn't expect the ending to be like that. Still, life is to go on. So, I am gonna finish more novels this year (please no jinx) and spending more time on reading a book instead of 'facing' the book.

Teaching has been always great especially with my year 6 kids. I am amazed to see the things that they can do with the language. Cooperation, Creativity and just everything. It is not easy to get them to that stage. I remember vividly, how I used to scold them a lot especially during our drama training. They were just Year 3 that time but I put high expectation to their quality of performance. But now, the product and impact are showing. They could independently work on the task. But above everything, I think they are the group of pupils who teaches me a lot on staying loyally with this job, to be passionate on the little things in learning. So, 15 years later, lets meet up dear SKGT1318!

The biggest different between the Year 6 this year and the previous years I am teaching is the fact that there is no pressure in teaching. I hope it goes the same with all the Year 6 teachers too. This year, I hope nothing but for them to give the best in everything!

This year, I will be focussing more on quality. It goes with the food, time spent, fitness journey and other things that I am investing for myself. I know it will cost me quite a lot, but it will definitely be worth it and enriching at the same time.

The start of this year was not really good to the fact that I was bedridden for few days on the first week of school and took up one of the biggest decision, letting go some big opportunities, in the middle of the month. But I guess, things will fall into places soon or later. Lets just now focus on the little things that are happening now. Live and just breath!

This year, hopefully, it will be another exciting rollercoaster ride!
O ya, I got a new nephew! Yaay!

HI!

Counting weeks to the end of school term for this year and bunch of things are to be completed before that. Home for the weekend, it just feels so good for some time away.

Reading back my old posts, it gives me the magical and powerful feeling of travelling back to the Past. I am glad that I wrote all of them though these years, I did not write much.

It is less than 3 months for the year to end and I guess I have ticked down some milestones this year. Taking up some Now or Never decisions and seizing the opportunities, though some I have missed it too. Still, it feels great to be where I am and what I am today.

Travel. I guess that made up most of the things in this year as I have been to 3 different countries with 3 different group of people. It was nourishing and enriching at the same time and solely for leisure purpose. Hopefully, I will get the chance to travel for other purpose, maybe work perhaps because I know it will give different vibes. The things that I love about all the trips this year is to the fact that I am into the planning stage too, it feels so exciting to research and getting to know those unfamiliar settings. Will be writing more on this when I have the time.

Work. I am working and immersing in it with all my heart without forgetting the fun part of it. I am happy to see the kids are progressing in a fast pace this time and can't wait to sow what we have reap all those years, next year will it be.

Holiday. I don't have a big plan yet. Plan to spend most of it at home, planning things up for the coming year or just arranging and filtering some things in my room (as that has been part of my hobby).  Maybe, have few road trip around Sabah and experience the local delights.

Today is Saturday. I remember it vividly during colleague years, I still wake up early though it is a holiday because I love being the early bird, I feel the most energy early in the morning (except when I am extremely tired on the previous day). Then, I will take bath, do my laundry and tidy up the room. Then, if we are free, we will go for outing to Saberkas/Spring/Plaza Merdeka and fill ourselves with Men Kolok, favourite all the time or just any delicacies! Those are the young days, now we are on our working stage. Differ from what it used to be.

Some say that, the older you get, the more you feel like staying home. It occurs to me most of the time now. Just need some break from everything.
